Mark deLight EXOPOLIS connects with me on a deeper level than anything released this year, and it is in the running for my 2022 album of the year. The guitar work is savage on every track, coupled with the pristine synths. But beyond that, RAN has achieved sonic storyteller mastery with this album as a whole. It's been a long time since I've experienced a complete story, start to finish, from a purely instrumental album. Favorite track: Ashen Skies.
